Sir Thomas Knyvett (c. 1539-1616) by Master of the Countess of Warwick | Mounted Fine Art Print
A high quality, mounted fine art print of our famous portrait of Sir Thomas Knyvett by the elusive painter Master of the Countess of Warwick.
Featured in our acclaimed 'Tudor Mystery: A Master Painter Revealed' exhibition, the beautiful portrait is renowned for the portrayal of naturalistic features and historical fashion including a white doublet slashed to reveal a ‘blackwork’ embroidered shirt beneath. The painting is unsigned but because of its distinctive style it has been attributed to an artist known as the ‘Master of the Countess of Warwick’, who was active in England in the later 1560s, and probably came from the Netherlands.
You can capture and display the historical provenance and elegance of the piece in your home through this mounted fine art print!
