A famous print of Henry VIII taken from our British Portrait collection. Hans Holbein the younger arrived in England from Germany in 1526 and changed the face of British portraiture through his work at the court of Henry VIII. Holbein's iconic images of the King were used to impose royal authority and were widely circulated, both during his lifetime and after his death. This version was painted by an unknown artist around 1560 during the reign of Henry's daughter Elizabeth I (1533-1603) and demonstrates her powerful lineage.
You can capture and display the historical provenance and elegance of the piece in your home through this mounted fine art print!
